CHEESESTEAKS, ETC.

6th & Swan, Tucson, AZ
Hey John, Got a new submission for the cheesesteak page. The place is called Cheesesteaks Etc. near the corner of 6th and Swan in Tucson. I got a loaded "doublemeat" as they call it for a little under 5 bucks. Its not a football field of a cheesesteak like Leo's, but probably a good foot in length. Pretty damn good man.....It is THE closest that I have found out here in the prozac enriched confines of arizona. As always, you cant get the bread like back home, but they made up for it by talking with a little philly attitude. On top of that, I got a few new drinking partners for eagles football. Gotta Love It !!!!!! Submitted by Ski (ski777@dakotacom.net), May 8, 1997

DAGLIO'S CHEESESTEAKS & HOAGIES

2745 N Campbell Ave, Tuscon, AZ
Hey, I was just reading through your site and I have an entry for you. I recently moved to Tucson and a friend and I have been looking for a place to get good cheese steaks. He's from Philly, and has been rather disappointed with the selection out here in Arizona. Last night we went to a place call Daglio's on Campbell just north of Grant, and this place is awesome! They use fresh Amoroso bread that they have shipped overnight to them, many kinds of cheese (including Whiz which is rare around here), and you have to order like you do in Philly. I of course got one Whiz, Wit, he got his Whiz Without. The place is covered in Philly stuff, with pictures of Jim's, Geno's, Pat's, and a bunch of other ones all over the place. The owner is from Philly, so he knows how its supposed to be done. They even have Hank's soda! The food was fantastic, my friend was so happy he finally found a place like home. Now, if only we could get him to get a liquor license and get some Yuengling out here, we'd be in heaven

PAUL'S LITTLE PHILLY

Phoenix, Az.
I only wish I had found it when I was living in Phoenix. The best cheesesteak that I had in Phoenix was at Paul's Little Philly - 35st. and Indian School Road. The bread was as close to Philly style as your going to find out west. The owner (Paul) is from Boston. He was embarassed when I asked him if he was from Philly. Fred King of Prussia, PA
