BEST OF PHILLY CHEESESTEAK HOUSE

West coast of Florida between Spring Hill and Clearwater
My name is Chris. I LIVE in Port Richey Fl. I had moved here in 1996 and immediately opened a cheesesteak shop . It had quickly turned into three within one year. We had recently acquired our franchise paperwork. We are now in the process of building two more stores. We(my brother and I) are incorporated under the name "THE HOMEBOY CORP" and the chain is called "BEST OF PHILLY CHEESESTEAK HOUSE". We are located on the west coast of Florida between Spring Hill and Clearwater. We pick up our Amoroso rolls and our meats every Monday in Philly and then we bring them down here in a freezer truck. It's a pain in the !@#$ but it's what they needed down here. Well, I just happened to joke around in the search mode to look for anything saying cheesesteak and here it brought me. Any articles that you would like to see about us or our t.v. commercial ,just call me at (352)597-7266 .I just thought it would be different for you to here about somebody finally doing this in a foreign state.

For the best Ribeye Cheesesteak in Florida, you 'gotta head to the Boiler Room! When placing your order, ask for the large with THE WORKS and a cold brew on the side. The large has 16 oz. of prime ribeye flavored with their special garlic seasoning smothered with onions, green peppers, mushrooms and provolone cheese. Your mouth will be watering for days. I moved away a few years back and I would love to be walking into the Boiler Room right now for the best cheesesteak I've ever had hands down. FAMOUS PHILLY'S BEEF AND BEER

5901 Ridgewood Av, Port Orange, FL PH: (386) 767-6338
I have been to several of the cheesesteak places you have listed for Florida, but we are fortunate in the Daytona Beach area to have Famous Philly's on US1 in Port Orange. On the first bite I took out of a cheesesteak there, I looked at my husband and said, "it's real". Close your eyes and just pretend your back home. This place is PACKED for all the Eagles games (I counted 17+ #5 jerseys)..standing room only if you're not there before kickoff. Complete with the Eagles fight song, watching the game there is a blast!

LASPADA'S

Orange City ,Fl.
There is a place in Orange City ,Fl. .Tastes just like home, Laspada's Original Steaks and Hoagies. I used to eat them from their parents in Parkside, Pa. They must ship the rolls down south because It tastes just like it did 20 years ago.

LILLY'S

Palmetto Park Rd., Boca Raton, FL
I was born and raised in Philly and at the age of 30 moved to Boca Raton, Fl. I have been here 8 years and have stopped eating cheesesteaks because they never taste like the ones I got in Phila. However, Lilly's, on Palmetto Park Road one block west of the Atlantic Ocean in Boca Raton has a cheesesteak that could rival any steak in Phila. It took me 8 years, but I finally found a place.

I also was born & raised in Philly. One day after reading this post on Lilly's we decided to give it a try. I must say that I was thoroughly displeased with my cheesesteak and I cannot agree or recommend Lilly's as a place to get a good cheesesteak!

NICCOLI'S

6602 old wintergarden road Orlando, Fla.
Let me tell you sumptin, being from Philly and living in Orlando now. I've been looking for a place for a real steak. Lots of places advertise Philly style steak and I've tried a lot of them looking for a taste of home. Being the cheesesteak critic that I am, I have found my cheesesteak haven here in O-town. Well to me the roll is the most important part to the sammich, if it isn't a amarosso it isn't a Philly. I found this little place called NICCOLI'S pizza and subs-6602 old wintergarden road Orlando. Well it was heaven. The closest thing to philly I've ever tasted to a perfect cheesesteak. The owners are from Philly, and like I say. "You can take the people out of philly but you can't take philly out of the people".

PHILLY'S Famous Cheese Steaks and Pizza Company

4375 East Bay Dr. Clearwater, Fla. 33771(727)539-1733
In Central Florida the best phillycheese steaks are in Clearwater on East bay Drive. Amoroso rolls, lean rib-eye steak, thinly shaved!!! No steak-ums here! The name is "Philly's Famous Cheese Steaks and Pizza Company" between Belcher Rd. and US 19 in Largo, FL USA!!!!!!!

I grew up in fishtown, and the best cheese steaks in my neighborhood were Kellys happy tap at thompson and Sesquehanna ave, and Leo's, tulip and norris st. But I due agree other parts of the city are sometimes just a little differant, but that just adds to the originally of the sandwich, but never to different that would alter the style or the taste. I have lived in clearwater fla for about fifteen, and was luckey enough to meet a guy who knows how to make a steak sandwich. That place is "Phillys" on east bay drive in clearwater florida.

THE PHILADELPHIAN

2320 Tamiami Trail, Port Charlotte, Florida
For the best Philly cheesesteaks in Florida, you must come to Port Charlotte!!! All of their food is imported from Philadelphia and your taste buds will definitely know the difference! The steak is tender and juicy and the rolls almost melt in your mouth. You can't make a great Philly cheesesteak unless you really know what one is! The owners were born and bred there. The shop has only been there since 1994, but has already made itself a landmark for homesick Pennsylvanians and people who wish they were. Choose whatever you want on it, because each is made to order. People come especially for a Philly cheesesteak with Aunt Grace's sweet peppers; a recipe she originated in Philadelphia many years ago. The Philadelphian also has terrific hoagies and pizzas! They are located at 2320 Tamiami Trail, Port Charlotte, Florida. Call them at (941)766-0555 or fax (941)766-0014. Anyone can make a cheesesteak, but it takes The Philadelphian to make an authentic Philly cheesesteak! Gotta go now, I just made myself hungry and only a good Philly cheesesteak at The Philadelphian can satisfy my craving!

THE PHILLY CONNECTION

Baymeadows Rd. & Old Baymeadowns Rd., Jacksonville, FL
The best Cheesesteak under the Florida sun is definitely "The Philly Connection" in Jacksonville (Home of the mighty Jaguars). The large "original" cheesesteak is so good I almost lost consciousness when I ate it. Quality in the sirloin beef and the melted white american cheese is the charm of this cheesesteak."The Philly Connection" is located in Jacksonville, Florida, at the intersection of Baymeadows Rd. & Old Baymeadows Rd. CHECK IT OUT!!!

SLICK NICK'S

Eglin Parkway, Fort Walton Beach; Rt. 98, Destin
Born & raised in Chester, worked at several Hoagie Shops( I'm truly qualified) in and around the Chester area. LaSpada's, Mike's(across the street from Chester High School) and Phil & Jim's, I now reside in Navarre Florida and found a place that's not bad. Slick Nick's on Eglin Parkway in Fort Walton Beach Florida and they recently opened a second place on Rte98 in Destin Florida.(On the Gulf Coast between Panama City & Pensacola) The people are from Pittsburgh and use provolone cheese. I got to know them and tried to educate them, but they won't fix it. Now when I go in I tell them I want a "Pittsburgh Cheese Steak" but they allow me to bring my own WHITE cheese. It's loaded with quality and quanity and goes a Whopping $8.25 per sandwich.(Mrs DiConstanza just rolled over in her grave!) Bon Mungha!!!!!!!
