BILLADELPHIA'S

4105 Airport Fwy.- Industrial Blvd. Exit (Hwy 157) off I-183; Bedford, TX 76021
PH-(817)-684-8607 FAX (817)-358-1028
We have discovered a new source that saves us the cost of a trip to Philly. BILLADELPHIA’s in Euless Texas has brought the authentic taste of Philly Cheesesteaks as well as many other treats. Pretzels, Tasty cakes, Herr’s chip and authentic Hoagies on Amoroso bread. We eat there 3 or 4 time a week, cant stop, we tried.

Billadelphia's is the best cheesesteak shop in the Dallas-Fort Worth Suburbs. It is located in Euless at Hwy 183 and Hwy. 157. The shop is owned by Bill, a Philly transplant and has brought Philly home to many of us here in TX. He even sells all the extras - great hoagies, Herr's Chips, Tastykakes, Peanut Chews, Scrapple, water ice, etc., etc. Don't miss it!

I moved to TX 5 years ago with my dad when he got a new job, and I grew up in Harrisburg, with many MANY trips to Philly to visit the grandparents. I loved the cheesesteaks from Sal's (Warrington, PA) and since we moved here theres been nothing close. We recently found Billadelphia. They use Amoroso rolls straight from Philly, and even have Herr's chips and Tastycakes shipped every week. By far the best cheesesteak I've had since we moved here.

I've attached the menu and info on Billadelphia's in Euless, TX. While I am a Buckeye, and hardly a cheesesteak afficionado, my hubby is from there and has taken me to Pat's and Geno's, so according to your site, I've had some of the best. Bill's got a good rendition of those going on here in Euless and it is the only ones we eat now!

Hi! I wasn't born in Philadelphia, but close -- Bethlehem, Pa. Discovered a place called "Billadelphia" on 183 W Access, right off Industrial Blvd in the Bedford Euless, TX area.. GREAT cheesesteaks, Amoroso Rolls, Tastykakes, Peanut Chews, all the comforts I've missed. It's a drive up place, with 2 outside tables, so go on a warm day, or prepare to eat in car or take home.

BOSTON SUBWORKS

441W.Nakoma, San Antonio,Tx 78216 PH.-(210)-341-6624
One of the best cheesesteak subs south of Philly is made just west of San Antonio Inter. airport. Boston Subworks [obviously not Philly in origin] uses freshly sliced beef and plenty of it. This quickly grilled with mushrooms ,onions and bellpeppers, shreaded provolone and then toasted with more prov on top. Delicious!!!! They even have one made with jalapenos. For you wandering Yankees this is like an oasis where you least expect it!

DAVE AND BUSTERS

San Antonio, Tx.
Also wherever there is a Dave and Busters. This place has authentic Philly Cheesesteaks and use Amoroso brand rolls (imported from S. Philly) and traditional white American cheese. Now if only I can get them to work on a pizzasteak

FRED'S DOWNTOWN PHILLY

12262 Inwood Road, # 202, Dallas, TX 75244
...I know, I can hear you already, "...nobody in Dallas knows how to make a great cheesesteak..." In Dallas, 99.9% of the time that is correct, but there is one (and only one) exception to that rule in Dallas - Fred's Downtown Philly. Being a transplanted Yank down here in Texas, I always longed for the real deal when it came to cheesesteaks. I have lived in Dallas for 13 years and have searched high and low and was always bitterly disappointed when I ordered a "cheesesteak" down here. The problems were numerous: the steak was not chopped fine, they have no clue what Provolone cheese is and last, but definitely not least, nobody had ever even heard of Amoroso rolls. Dejected, I thought my cheesesteak loving tastebuds would wither away from inferior products, then......a few years ago, out of the blue.....I see the local newspaper is running a feature on local sub shops. There, on the cover is Fred Daniels, a transplanted Philadelphian who opened a true Philadelphia steak/hoagie shop with all the essentials, including Tastykakes. Let me state that my opinion is completely unbiased as I have have no ownership in Fred's, but Fred is the man here in Dallas when it comes to anything related to cheesesteaks. All of his ingredients are pure Philadelphia and just to rile up any of these so-called Dallas sports fans, Fred's place is painted "Eagles" green with many posters of the Doc, Steve Carlton, Jaws, Harold Carmichael, Iverson, etc. When you open the door, you feel as if you have been transported back to South Philly. I highly recommend a visit to any visitor in Dallas longing for the taste of Philly on a bun.

GALLAGASKIN'S

Camp Bowie, Fort Worth, Tx.
Galligaskin's on Camp Bowie is the real deal for cheesesteaks in Texas. Bread flown in daily from Philly, great sliced rib-eye steaks with grilled onions, cherry peppers and provolone cheese. My favorite also includes jalapenos and mushrooms.

HOODY'S

Austin, Tx.
the owner once owned the delaware sub shop with jerry sizemore.for what ever reason,he went out on his own and started hoody's.he hates calling the joint a "sub" shop, but these silly texans can't seem to relate to the term "hoagie".i find the steak at hoody's to be more authentic than the steak at dss.in addition,he has the place decorated with old bulletins and inquirers.if you're ever in the austin area and you're jonesin' for a cheesesteak, check out hoody's.it's no geno's or steve's prince, but it does the job.by the way, there's a place across from u.t. campus called texadelphia.it's strictly for posers.don't even bother, unless you like your steak with hot sauce and jalapenos on a six inch french roll!

JAKE'S PHILLY STEAKS

2944 Chimney Rock Rd Houston, TX 77056-5907 ph.-(713)-781-1962
I'm 41 years old and I lived in the Philly area (Delaware County) all my life until a year and a half ago. Then because of a job offer I moved to Houston Texas. For the first year I was going through serious cheese steak withdraw. But about 6 months ago I found "Jake's Philly Steaks" in Houston on Chimney Rock between Richmond and Westhiemer. Thats about a 45 minute drive from my house but I make the trip several times a month. They are really great and the shop is loaded with "Philly STUFF" Makes me feel like home. I grew up in near Parkside Pa. which is in between Chester and Brookhaven. That area of Delaware County has the best concentration of Hoagies and Steaks in Pa. You have Stackies, Phil & Jims, LaSpada's, Don's, Mikes, DiConstansa's and on and on and on.... And I worked in many of them growing up SO - I know Steaks. And Jakes is pretty damn good.

SANDWICH KING

6615 Long Point Rd, Houston, TX ph.-(713)-681-1265
I have lived in Houston almost all my life. People tell me that they could not find a good cheesesteak. Then I heard about a little, almost invisible shop called Sandwich King, located on Long Point between Silber and Hempstead Hwy. They serve other great food but I must say that the cheesesteak is the BEST in town. Their cheesesteaks don't come with mushrooms although they are available upon reuqest. Nonetheless, theirs is the best I have had and I recommend it for those visiting Houston or just in the mood for a real cheesesteak.

TEXADELPHIA

Multiple locations, Austin, TX
Hey there!! I'm surprised that you dont have Texadelphia cheese steak on your list! It's the besttttt ANYWHERE! I lived in Austin for 7 years, and I went there every week when it was the only shop at the time....now it's expanded to several locations. You ought to give this place a try, and I'm telling you, this cheese steak as I remember it (it's been 10 years since I've been there, and I MISS it so terribly...I live on the east coast and too far for me to drive there for lunch!! lol). Go and taste it for yourself if you haven't tried their cheese steak and their chili con queso sauce, it's the BEST!!! I knew their original owner, Joel, who founded this restaurant. Happy tasting, and you'll be hooked!!
