PHILADELPHIA FEVRE

2332 East Madison Street, Seattle, WA; Ph.)- (206)323-1000
OK so of course the best cheesesteak in Seattle is not as good as the worst in Philly, but you gotta do what ya gotta do. Philadelphia Fevre makes a good cheesesteak, the meat is right, the onions are right, the cheese is right, they even have melted cheez whiz for the fries; however the bread is lacking, not their fault per say as flying Amoroso rolls out is probably cost prohibitive, but the local bakery Gai's does not cut it.
When it's all said & done, I like Philadelphia Fevre, good atmosphere, they work hard, have Tastykakes & a great attitude.

I grew up in Philly (graduated from Northeast HS in 1961). I've lived near Seattle since 1979. Several years a go I read about a place called "Philadelphia Fevre" in Seattle. I've been going there ever since. The place has been written up in the Seattle Times as a great place to eat. It's owned and operated by Renee LeFevre from Roxborough. She makes a cheese steak that would rank among the top 10 in Philly. Amorosos's rolls, thin-sliced beef, white American cheese or provolone, great sauce and mushrooms. She also makes great Philly hoagies and cheese fries. In addition, she also has photos of Philly plastered on the walls, gets the Philadelphia Daily News every day, sells Tasty Kakes, Snapper soup from Bookbinder's, and Scrapple. I go several times a month.

PHILLY STEAK OUT

Westlake Mall, 4th & Pike, Seattle, WA
There is a hidden place on the 4th floor of Westlake Mall at 4th and Pike called Philly Steak Out that is pretty good; they even throw in some bacon, which is an interesting twist.

PHILLY WEST

Bellingham, WA ph.- (360)-676-7441
The people up here in Washington (STATE!) haven't had the pleasure of an authentic cheesesteak until Philly West opened up in Bellingham. The owner moved here from Pennsylvania and he knows how they should be made. Although here in Bellingham, the people commonly add a bit of a different taste to our cheesesteaks by adding green peppers, mushrooms, lettuce, tomatoes and more. But the owner aims to please everyone's taste as best as he can. I highly recommend it.
Philly West is located off of I-5 exit 256 (Meridian), take a left on Westerly Rd, its on the left by Cost Cutter.

Great Page! Valuable resource, needs more locations outside the Tri-state area, because when you are vacationing or moving, you NEED to know...
I moved from Cherry Hill NJ, to Washington State and have been looking for a great Cheese Steak for a long time. Every time I go back to Jersey I head for Big Johns. I was just there eating a Cheese Steak Hoagie (raw onions) two weeks ago, I sat in the lower level by the pickle bar right under the picture of John LeClair (go FLYERS!), but for outside of the Philly area I must say that Philly West in Bellingham WA does the best job. They are even getting satellite so you can watch Philly sports there! I eat the large Cheese Steak Hoagie with raw onions. I have had, what a lot of places attempt to call a Philly Cheeses Steak all across the country as I drove out here from Jersey, and the biggest problem with them all was the rolls. You just can't get the Amoroso or the Gais rolls anywhere else. The roll is the secret! Philly West in Bellingham got it right! They hooked up with a local bakery to get the closest thing to the Amoroso 12" that they could, and they are on their way to perfection. They were so close, the only slight problem was they had some funky vinegary / pickled onions. Sure they were raw, but they were wet and sour... I am sure they will come around in time.

PHILLY YA BELLY

12432 Highway 99, #65, Everett, WA PH:(425)-710-0130
Philly Ya Belly serves great "Philly style" cheesesteaks to hungry crowds in Southwest Snohomish County, about 20 minutes north of downtown Seattle. I have been eating there since they first opened a few years back, and now they have a second location that's even bigger and busier than the first! The menu is impressive with the classic steak and cheese as the mainstay, but also featuring a variety of combinations for every taste as well as a tasty chicken option for almost every sandwich. There is a choice of regular or large size cheesesteak, and there is a killer sausage and cheesesteak combo called "The Big Dog". You have to try this one to believe it! The name of the place is true to form; you will be full by the time your finished with your mouth-watering steak, awesome hot pastrami or even a plate of gooey cheese fries! The founders are locals who first fell in love with the cheesesteak at the now defunct Philly's Best in the 'hood at 23rd & Union in Seattle. They spent years researching recipes and vendors nationwide before opening their first location in a business park near Harbour Pointe in Mukilteo. In response to rave reviews and greater demand, they opened a second location south of the Home Depot on Highway 99 in south Everett in the Empire Industrial Park, where they have enjoyed even greater success. Hey, now we can even get a beer with our steak! Our best wishes for their continued success...everybody deserves a great cheesesteak!

I travel the country regularly and have eaten at quite a few cheese steak establishments and I have to say when you are in Western Washington state you should try "Philly Ya Belly" In Everett. This is one of the best Cheese steaks I have had. The owner Leroy Saunders has done his homework on how to make the best Philly cheese steaks in the area. There is a load of meet and if you like you can get the veggies and other sides. Personally I like the meat and cheese "Cheese Steak". The meat is seasoned just right and the bread is soft yet firm enough to hold the juices! Tell you readers to give it a try!
